Neo’s EBA and Awards Interpretation feature automatically applies Australian construction EBAs and company award rules to Digital Timesheets, producing payroll-ready data that reflects actual hours, allowances and entitlements in minutes.

This feature is used by Australian subcontractors managing complex labour agreements, multiple job sites and varying allowances, including concrete placement and pumping, formwork, steel fixing, post-tension, civil construction, labour hire and other trades.

During onboarding, Neo helps document the EBAs, awards, allowances and rules needed across your projects in the Neo platform. Once live, crews submit digital timesheets that flow into the Admin Console for review and approval. When it’s time to prepare payroll, approved timesheets are automatically interpreted against the correct award rules with a single action, calculating allowances, overtime and penalties. A payroll schedule is then generated and pushed directly into your payroll system for processing, including one-click export to Xero.

Site crews capture their hours on site using the Field App, while office and payroll teams access the interpreted award results, payroll schedules and supporting reports in the Admin Console. Each team sees the information relevant to their role, ensuring accurate time capture on site and clear, controlled review before payroll is approved.
