What a year 2023 has been! As the year comes to a close, the Neo construction software team have been reflecting on a pivotal year for the company and our clients. We've seen advancements in our platform, had more innovative business owners partner with us and grown our team. Here's a couple of highlights from 2023:

1. New feature: Making clocking in on site easier with QR codes

The QR code has really had a comeback in the last few years! When we heard that you wanted a simpler way for staff to check in and out and a more seamless way to integrate staff movement data with other project information, including schedules, project details, site diary notes and payroll - we created QR code check in. 2. New feature: Revamped, faster project calendar

One of our most loved features is the project calendar. Over the past few months, we have been investing in the creation of a revamped project calendar within the Neo construction software and a beta version is now available to toggle to in your Neo Admin Console:

The beta version is substantially faster to save you even more time and has cleaner workflows as you will see below. This is going to make scheduling is a whole lot easier! The new project calendar is also more scalable so as you add more projects and team members, you won't run into any roadblocks on a scheduling front.

We look forward to launching the complete, new project calendar in early 2024 including handy enhancements like automations and the ability to manage equipment resources. As we continue to build this out, we welcome you to provide any feedback you have via support@neointelligence.com.au

3. Support update: New chat support to get help faster

In October, Chris from Client Success began rolling out our revamped support program including chat within the Neo Admin Console and a new, comprehensive knowledge base. This means you and your team get easier access support when you need it.

To use chat support, simply open the chat window, bottom right in the Neo Admin Console and start typing. If we can't provide you with a knowledge base article to solve the problem right away, you'll be escalated to Chris.

The other benefit for you is that your feedback is captured which helps us make decisions about how we build and advance the Neo platform.

Chat support is being rolled out with a phased approach with all clients having this new communication tool early 2024. If you would like this turned on now, and can't yet see the chat support button in your Neo Console, get in touch with Client Success via support@neointelligence.com.au

4. Shared milestones in 2023

It's been quite a year and while the construction industry has gone through ups and downs, we are humbled to be the tool of choice for many Australian subcontracting companies, supporting improved productivity and growth. Here's some milestones we've hit together this year:

8,000+ projects created

Neo's project management, resource and record keeping feature significantly reduces admin time when compared to the norm for many - whiteboards and spreadsheets. Since inception, Neo clients have created over 8,000 projects in our platform helping increase project visibility and reduce admin time by 75%.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is construction management software for subcontractors?

Construction management software for subcontractors is software that helps subcontracting businesses manage crews, schedules, labour hours, compliance requirements and site documentation across multiple projects. It is designed for labour-intensive, site-based work and supports payroll accuracy, EBA and award compliance and the records needed to verify work performed.

What problems does Neo solve for subcontractors?

Neo solves common subcontractor problems related to managing crews, labour hours, compliance requirements and site records across multiple projects. Disconnected schedules, manual timesheets, payroll errors and missing site records lead to rework, disputes and margin leakage. Neo replaces fragmented processes with a single platform that keeps labour data, site activity and compliance aligned across every job.

What type of subcontractors use Neo?

Neo is used by construction subcontractors managing crews across multiple sites and projects. This includes a wide range of labour-intensive, field-based trades, such as concrete placement, concrete pumping, formwork, steel fixing, civil construction and labour hire, that rely on accurate scheduling, labour tracking, site documentation and EBA or award compliance to run their business efficiently.

What size subcontractor is Neo best suited to?

Neo is suited to subcontractors of different sizes that manage crews working across multiple projects. The platform supports both growing teams and larger subcontractors by scaling as workforce size, project count and operational complexity increases.

How is Neo different from using spreadsheets and whiteboards?

Spreadsheets and whiteboards rely on manual updates and are often out of date, leading to missed changes, double booking and fragmented records. Neo provides real-time scheduling, automated crew notifications, linked timesheets and site records in a single platform, ensuring teams in the field and in the office work from the same up-to-date information.

How much does Neo cost?

Neo pricing is structured around packages that scale with your business. Costs depend on factors like workforce size and operational needs, ensuring subcontractors only pay for what they use. A demo is the best way to understand which package fits your business and expected ROI.
